Stephen Fry on the Twitterverse

British actor Stephen Fry began his career in a comedy duo with Hugh Laurie before moving on to a career as a novelist, columnist, filmmaker and tech guru. Fry spoke to Q ‘s Jian Ghomeshi on Friday about the pitfalls of the Twitterverse and his admiration for the late, great Canadian pianist Glenn Gould.

Stephen Fry will host Claire Rayner benefit show

Stephen Fry will host a celebration of the life and works of the writer and broadcaster at the Criterion Theatre in the West End, aided by Dame Eileen Atkins, Tom Robinson and Sandi Toksvig among others.

The nation’s favourite agony aunt and health campaigner, the late Claire Rayner, is to receive a triumphant send-off this summer when an all-star cast assembles in London to stage an evening of comedy, music and anecdote in her memory.

All proceeds will go to the Patients Association, the campaigning organisation that she headed for many years
